Leather tanneries are left with leather that can’t be used. Beautiful, high-quality offcuts, too small or irregular for their original purpose, but far too good to throw away.
We saw an opportunity where others saw waste. Every ANEW tote is made from that leftover leather. Nothing is produced new, only rescued, cut, and crafted into something worth carrying.

Why is this important?
Leather Working Group (LWG) is an organisation focusing on the environmental impact caused by leather manufacturing. To become LWG-certified, manufacturers must have implemented programmes for energy use and wastewater.
